Terms of Service
Effective September 10, 2026
Please read these Terms carefully. They cover what Chirp does, what you may send with it, how billing works, and the limits of our responsibility. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a contract between you and contact@chirpmail.io (“Chirp”, “we”, “us”) governing your use of the Chirp website, application, API, and community (together, the “Service”). By signing in or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. If you use Chirp on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it, and “you” includes that organisation.
2. The service
Chirp helps you find professionals using public search results, find their work email addresses, write personalised outreach, send it from your own Gmail account, follow up automatically until someone replies, and see what is working. It also hosts a community where members share what gets replies.
Chirp is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google, LinkedIn, or any employer. Chirp is currently offered as an early-access product: features may change, be added, or be removed, and limits may be adjusted with notice where practical.
3. Your account
- You sign in with a Google account you own or are authorised to use. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
- Keep your account information accurate. Use one account per person.
- Tell us promptly at contact@chirpmail.io if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
4. Gmail connection
By connecting Google you authorise Chirp to send the emails you queue from your address and to read the threads it started to detect replies, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can revoke this at any time from your Google account or by deleting your Chirp account.
- You must comply with Google’s and Gmail’s terms and sending limits. Chirp caps sending per plan and per day, but the account is yours and Google’s rules apply to it.
- We do not control Gmail. Google may throttle, delay, bounce, or suspend sending, and we are not responsible for that or for deliverability.
- Emails send from your account under your name. Everything sent is your communication, not ours.
5. Acceptable use
Chirp exists for genuine, individual professional networking and recruiting outreach. You agree that you will:
- comply with all applicable laws on commercial and unsolicited email, including CAN-SPAM (US), CASL (Canada), the GDPR and PECR (EU and UK), and any equivalents where you or your recipients are located;
- contact people only for legitimate professional purposes, in your own name, with accurate sender information and subject lines;
- honour every request to stop, and never remove an address from your suppression list to keep contacting someone who asked you not to;
- use only search terms and prospect data obtained through the Service or that you lawfully hold; not import purchased, harvested, or scraped lists;
- respect LinkedIn’s and other websites’ terms; Chirp only reads public search results and must not be used to circumvent any site’s rules;
- review AI-written content before it sends and take responsibility for it as your own words.
You agree that you will not:
- send bulk marketing, sales, or advertising campaigns, or use Chirp for anything other than personal recruiting and networking outreach;
- harass, threaten, deceive, impersonate, or discriminate against anyone, or send content that is unlawful, defamatory, sexually explicit, or hateful;
- send malware, phishing, or links to unsafe content;
- interfere with the Service, probe or test its security without written permission, scrape it, reverse-engineer it, or circumvent sending limits or plan restrictions;
- share your account, resell the Service, or use it on behalf of a third party as an agency;
- upload a resume or other content you do not have the right to use.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, and we may report unlawful activity. Because one abusive account can damage deliverability for everyone, we act quickly on spam complaints.
6. Your content and data
You own the content you create or upload (templates, emails, resume, profile, posts) and the prospect data you collect. You grant Chirp a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate and improve the Service for you, and, for community content, to show it to other members.
For the information you store about other people, you are the controller (or equivalent) and Chirp processes it on your instructions. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to contact them, for responding to their requests, and for the accuracy of what you store.
Content produced by Chirp’s AI features is yours to use, subject to third-party rights. AI output can be inaccurate or inappropriate; it is provided to help you draft, not as advice.
7. Community
The community is for sharing what works: templates, subject lines, timing, targeting, and results. When you post you agree to:
- share your own templates and results, not private emails other people sent you, and not the names, addresses, or details of recruiters or prospects;
- keep it useful and civil: no promotion, spam, harassment, or content that violates the Acceptable Use section;
- post only content you have the right to share. Posting grants other members a right to read and reuse templates for their own outreach.
We may remove content or restrict accounts at our discretion, with or without notice. If you believe content infringes your copyright, email contact@chirpmail.io with the post link, a description of the work, and your contact details, and we will act promptly.
8. Plans, billing, and cancellation
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices and limits are shown on the pricing page.
- Cancel any time from “Manage billing” in Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep paid features until then. Except where the law requires it, fees are non-refundable, including for partial months.
- If a payment fails and is not resolved, your account returns to the Free plan and active campaigns pause.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice; changes apply from your next renewal. Free plan limits and any complimentary access may change at any time.
- Prices exclude taxes unless stated; you are responsible for any applicable taxes.
9. Third-party services
The Service depends on Google, Stripe, Anthropic, Serper, Hunter.io, and our hosting providers. Their availability and terms are outside our control, and your use of Google and Stripe is also governed by their terms. Search results and email-address lookups may be incomplete or wrong; verify addresses before relying on them.
10. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and content we create, belongs to Chirp and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use it under these Terms. Feedback you give us may be used without obligation to you.
11. Termination
You can stop using Chirp at any time and delete your account from Settings, which deletes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if your use creates risk for the Service or other users; where reasonable we will give notice and a chance to fix the problem.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (content ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, governing law) survive.
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT EMAILS WILL BE DELIVERED, OPENED, OR ANSWERED, THAT FOUND EMAIL ADDRESSES ARE CORRECT, THAT AI OUTPUT IS ACCURATE, OR THAT USING CHIRP WILL RESULT IN ANY INTERVIEW, OFFER, OR OUTCOME.
13. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CHIRP AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, OPPORTUNITIES, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS IN ANY TWELVE-MONTH PERIOD IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THAT PERIOD OR US$100. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THESE LIMITS, SO THEY MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
14. Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Chirp from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from the emails you send, the content you post, the prospect data you collect, or your breach of these Terms or applicable law.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of contact@chirpmail.io, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at contact@chirpmail.io and try to resolve it informally for 30 days. Disputes that are not resolved will be brought in the state or federal courts located in contact@chirpmail.io, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except that either party may bring qualifying claims in small-claims court or seek injunctive relief anywhere.
16. General
- These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Chirp about the Service.
- If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
- You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor of the Service.
- We may update these Terms. We will post the new version with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the app. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes.
- Notices to us go to contact@chirpmail.io. Notices to you go to the email on your account.
